description=The most massive three-engine Soviet jet passenger aircraft, developed in the 1960s in the USSR at the Tupolev Design Bureau, which until the end of the first decade of the 21st century remained one of the main aircraft on medium-range routes in Russia. The shortest non-stop route on which the Tu-154 is used is Tashkent - Namangan (189 km), and the longest: Moscow - Yakutsk (6600 km).\nThe first flight was made on October 3, 1968. Serially produced from 1968 to 1998, a total of 932 aircraft were produced. The production rate sometimes reached 5 cars a month. From 1998 to 2011, small-scale production of Tu-154M aircraft was carried out at the Aviakor plant in Samara. Final discontinuation of production in 2012.
